Search Wiki is code word for prepared to be gamed.

I think is bad especially for particular niches or ideologies that need to be criticized or critiqued and they can merely skew the results. Making social more than 7-15% of results is asking for trouble.

@Mark Anderson - Here's why I think I know what I'm talking about:
1. Search Wiki is 'present' in the SERP's when logged into one's google account, but is not technically 'on'. In fact it is ONLY turned ON when you opt-in after clicking to vote up or down your first search wiki result.
2. You can turn off Search Wiki through the 'no search wiki' greasemonkey code. If you're a savvy firefox user, this is fairly easy to do.
3. Google hasn't denied the fact that it may use Search Wiki user data to influence SERP rankings when personalized search is not turned on. You might want to read what my extremely black hat friend has to say about their use of user data (including existing use in Google Maps for example) at http://www.slightlyshadyseo.com/index.php/googles-user-data-empire/

Thanks for your comment and I hope you leave more! I'm very open to discussion :)

There are a couple of factual mistakes in this blog - you do not need to "turn on" SearchWiki, in fact you don't even have the option of turning it off. It's just on. Always.

And you cannot game the system, because you reordering your search results will not affect the results of anyone else. It's purely for your benefit.

Sorry ;)

I am able to get it where i am located (mid west usa) but im not sure if all users are able to see the google searchwiki yet. If not there is a video and some screen shots of the searchwiki at http://www.thesearchwiki.com do you guys think this will become a regular feature? do you think it will effect the search engine search results drastically from now on?
